Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage is a light touch, gentle massage technique that stimulates the natural process of the lymphatic system to “Cause body fluids to flow, removes waste products from connective tissue, rectifies metabolic disfunction in the interstitium, supports the immune system, balances the nervous system and relieves congestion.” Dr E Vodder.

While that sounds pretty impressive, this is what it might look and feel like to  you after your treatment:

  • Stimulation of the blood circulation and tissue regeneration (your skin may feel invigorated)

  • By directing and increasing the lymphatic flow,  it promotes faster removal of excess body fluid (meaning you may visit the lavatory more after a treatment)

  • Reduction of swelling and water retention

  • Improves the immune system due to the elimination of toxins (you may notice you are getting sick less often as your immune system is more active)

  • Minimizes the appearance of cellulite by reducing the amount of fluid that presses up against the cross-hatched fibers beneath your skin

  • Promotes body and mental relaxation (you may feel energized and think more clearly)

  • Provides an overall lightness in the body

Perhaps one of the most effective forms of hands-on therapy, lymphatic drainage is suitable for everyday treatments as well as for more complex issues and offers benefits to almost everyone.
